Gerard Doherty, founder and director of Derry’s River Radio, has been named in the top 40 among the 40 most successful and ambitious young European business leaders in 2023.

Gerard received the honor through one of the world’s most popular awards for young business leaders, Business Elite Awards.

Gerard said this award is a collective recognition: “I am extremely proud not only of myself to have been recognized for this award, but of the hard work of my team at River Radio and the people of Derry and Northern Ireland.

“To be in the Top 40 Most Successful and Ambitious Young European Business Leaders by 2023 is a huge personal achievement and to be recognized by Business Elites 40 under 40 is a huge achievement that I look forward to building on. “

Gerard will attend the gala event of the award ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey, in June, an event planned to welcome all award winners to celebrate their success.

Business Elite Awards said they look forward to promoting Gerard as one of the 40 most successful and ambitious young European business leaders for 2023.

“This is a great honor and a reflection of your achievements so far,” they said. “Strong regional connections between young successful business people like you is an essential incentive to achieve everyone’s goal: a better today and a brighter future.

Business Elite’s “40 Under 40” is a prestigious awards program that identifies outstanding young business executives and entrepreneurs, visionaries and innovators who are changing the way things are done.

“They inspire others and are already giving back to their communities and their country. And they are all under 40.

“It is one of the world’s most popular, prestigious awards for young business leaders.”
