Printing and packaging company Northern Ireland acquired by Zeus Group

The Irish global packaging solutions company has acquired James Hamilton Group, a supplier of packaging, label manufacturing, stationery and PPE solutions to the retail, food and beverage, logistics and distribution sectors, for an undisclosed sum.

Keith Hamilton, Managing Director of James Hamilton Group, said: “We have enjoyed watching our company grow and evolve over its 100-year history, and we are delighted to have entered into an agreement with Brian and his team.

“It was important that we found a partner that shares the same ‘family’ values ​​as we do, a company that will continue to invest, look after our staff and, most importantly, provide a better offering to our loyal customers.”

The purchase is part of Zeus Group’s growth strategy for 2023 to raise group sales above €500 million.

It now has 51 locations around the world and has embarked on a series of acquisitions since 2019, including Dublin-based Essential Supplies and Aldar Tissues, Limerick Packaging, UK companies Smith & Bateson, Van Der Windt and Vaiopak Group, Plasti-Cart at the Canary Islands, Petruzalek in Austria and Polpack in Poland.
