Secutix, provider of cloud-based ticketing solutions, has appointed former Scottish FA chief commercial officer Chris Rawlings to his new role as business development lead for the UK and Ireland.
Rawlings fulfilled his role in the Scottish FA for over five years. He has 25 years of international experience delivering commercial success to sports, entertainment and music organizations. He has held senior positions with the Rugby Football League, talent agency YMU (formerly James Grant Group) and SportFive International.
In his new role, Rawlings will be responsible for driving business growth and developing new partnerships in the region. SECUTIX customers include The Hundred, Fulham FC, England Netball, the Guinness Storehouse and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Rawlings said, “In my career, within organizations I’ve been responsible for ticketing teams and having the best ticketing platform, worrying about revenue streams and how to provide a great experience to a fan or event guest. Working with SECUTIX’s suite of digital solutions and my understanding of customer challenges, I look forward to asking customers what success looks like to them and helping them achieve it.”
Secutix MD for Northern Europe, UK and Ireland, David Hornby, said: “We are delighted to welcome Chris to the team. He understands how ticketing systems now need to work internally – no longer just with the event organizer’s IT department – and he knows the current challenges facing decision makers in sports and live entertainment. Our clients will greatly benefit from his trusted advice and I look forward to working with him.”
